new-school hip-hop, leaving listeners riding high on the wave of lyrical greatness.
Owning the underground scene as an artist and concert promoter, Owens produced a highly successful hip-hop show
“NOMW- Next Up” at the House of Blues which ran for three consecutive years. "Next Up" showcased the talent of up and coming artists, giving them a platform to perform for talent buyers, promoters, and the general public. With this experience, Blake was inspired to deliver a new sound, "Balcony Music."
Describing "Balcony Music" he says, “it is influenced by my life, and my experiences living in the French Quarter.” His lifestyle is captured in the reality music video, ”Riding High,” which shows his “Get Up-n-Ride” social bike club cruising through the Crescent City as he flows over the classic Faze-O song of the same title. Since the release of “Balcony Music,” critics and followers are referring to the mixtape as “epic, feel good music.”
Currently, Blake is releasing new music videos, making Balcony Music a visual mixtape and true listening experience. As an artist who values his fans, he is working on new music with plans to release his first full original body of work.
