Casme' (Kaz-May), New Orleans Finest Indie Singer/Songwriter has traveled the world as an Entertainer, Philanthropist and Entreprenuer. This Love Warrior has a voice of a Soul Goddess! Presently preparing to release her newest collection of work "GUMBO" with hopes of branding herself as The Gumbo Artist. Casme' has created a new dance for her hometown entitled, "New Orleans (The Nola Step)" & has started teaching it to people everywhere she goes. She has also started a "WHEREZ THE LOVE?!" Campaign throughCasme' Cares, her community outreach program designed to brand Love, Hope, Peace through the Arts & Music. As a former singer for many major artists such as BoB, Trina Braxton, American Idol's Kimberly Locke, Keith Urban, Carl Thomas, Aaron Hall, Lil G(Silk) & more but is pleased to announce She Got Next! Casme', a native of New Orleans, LA, who's lived in Nashville, Tn & Atlanta, Ga. Her undeniable talent, refreshing energy and sweet spirit have landed her a #1 Spot on Reverbnation's charts, 6 nominations as ATL's Hottest Female Artist/Band and Future Star two years in a row as well as many major opportunities to perform locally and worldwide. Last year while touring internationally with Atlantic Records recording artist B.O.B. she performing on 106&Park, Wendy Williams, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno, The View and more, all while conducting her own high school tour, Forbidden, where she's challenging today's youth to dream, practice abstinence (refraining from sex until marriage, drugs/alcohol abuse, and other destructive behavior), and to love themselves enough to make healthy life decisions. Over the past few years, Casme` has opened for many artists including Eric Benet, Dwele, Ginuwine, Eve and Bobby Jones.
Growing up as the oldest of eight children, Casme` is a natural born leader—with her music, and behind the music. In 2009 after winning 1st Runner Up in the Miss Black Tennessee Pageant, Casme` launched her mentoring program, 4U Mentoring, and her I'm Not Every Girl Song/Campaign geared toward young girls, promoting individuality, self-love and high self-esteem. Through 4U, Casme` connects with youth in an effort to encourage and inform them about major issues that plague our society. To date, approximately over 2,000 youth have been personally touched by her efforts.
This multi-talented singer, songwriter, dancer, graphic/fashion/interior designer, humanitarian and motivational speaker is also acting on the big screen. She's been featured in Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself, TBS’s House Of Payne, Madea's Big Happy Family and The Braxton Family Values. She has also starred in major stage plays Marrying Up, The Lost Son, featuring Terrell Carter and Tall Dark & Handsome, featuring R&B crooner, Tony Terry, and BET comedians Sheryl Underwood and Bill Hill.
When Casme` performs, she pours her heart out on the stage and welcomes the audience to join her on her journey of love. Her vocals are strong and pure and her lyrics display artistic genius.
